Dream by the Light of the Moon - SOS #113

I mentioned my friend Leslie in my last post. She and I have been friends for more than a couple years. She is a rubber stamper she makes millions, thousands no hundreds of cards a month. Some times I tend to exaggerate....but not in this case. She does make hundreds of cards.  She also runs or co-runs ( I'm not sure ) a sweet challenge blog called Shopping Our Stash.  The concept is simple...use what you have...make something...share it.  Go check it out.   I like the idea because the item you make does not have to be a card.  I have been trying to carve out time to play along and this week the theme was too good to pass up.
So while packing up boxes for my giveaway I made this:

Everything used to make this card is a least 10 years old.
The Mermaid is   from  'A la Art
The Rock, Water and Sky are  from  Stampscapes
I stamped all images with Versamark and then....
with the tip of a fine paint brush I lightly
dusted on Pearl Ex  by Jacquard.
I layered it on gold vellum... The whole image shimmers.

The verse on the inside is the bottom portion of a stamp from StampOasis.
The whole stamp says:
 " Sing in the Rain
              Dance in the Sun
Dream by the light of the Moon"

Have a beautiful day
xo,
Marianne

Please help me make room for more crafting ....

Hi Marianne,

This is a very pretty card. I love all the sparkly effects.

I'd enter your giveaway but I need to go through my supplies too - so don't need to add anything......

Peace,
Kay

oooooooooooooooh! my gosh, *YES* this is super-shimmery and yet does not feel even a little bit OTT! i think it's the black background, which seems to balance all of the metallics. what a masterpiece! and the sentiment is just so totally perfect. yep, this baby pretty much HAS IT ALL! ♥ thanks for hangin' out with us at SHOPPING OUR STASH this week!

This is so beautiful!!! I can't imagine making that many cards a month! It takes me anywhere from 1/2 hr to 2 hrs to put a card together. I am sllooooow. Lol. Probably doesn't help that I usually have the TV too ;)
